APC chairman in Ogun state dies at 79

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state, Alhaji Roqeeb Adeniji, has been reported dead.

He died at the age of 79, about two years after his wife died in an auto crash.

At the time of this report, details about his death were scanty, but The Punch reports one of his children, Bolaji Adeniji, as simply saying his father, popularly called ‘Baba Computer’, died on late Monday, November 21.

He said: “He died while being taken to the hospital yesterday(Monday) night. He was a great man, a political colossus, and highly intelligent.”

In October 2014, the chairman had lost his 58-year-old wife in the accident that occurred at the Akihale area of Wasinmi in Ewekoro local government council of the state. She reportedly died on the spot.

The governor of the state, Ibikunle Amosun, had paid a courtesy visit to the deceased family house after the accident and condoled the APC chairman.
