Spare more time for your hobbies instead of brushing the tub.
Few people get excited when it comes to cleaning, the bathroom in particular. Somehow, this not the most spacious place in the house takes you more minutes to spruce up than all the other rooms taken together. However, there are a couple of smart tips that economize your effort and time. So what are you waiting for? Learn them now and start putting into practice beginning tomorrow.
1. Clean your curtains in the washing machine
Unless you want to look at mold, mildew or other disgusting stains each time you take a shower, get a useful habit of throwing your curtains and liners in the wash at least once in two weeks. In this case, you won’t have to rip the hair out of your head, figuring out how to handle the whole mess at once on Sunday evening.
2. Don’t forget the drain
Yes, that’s not the most pleasant routine, yet as necessary to stay on top of following sanitary conditions. Choose one day per month to scour the drain in the following way: add the mixture of one cup of vinegar and half a cup of baking soda in boiling water and pour it down the drain. Let it sit for 15 minutes, and then rinse any remains away.
3. Don't neglect the shower doors
Prepare the mixture of a few drops of white vinegar and one cup of baking soda and spread it on the doors. Let it sit for 30 minutes and clean the surface with a rag. This simple procedure is a real timesaver, provided you perform it on a regular basis.
4. Handle the tub
Spread any detergent you find efficient on the tub and let it sit for half an hour. Wash the tub with hot water and scrub the surface in case of any stains left. By doing this once a week, you avoid a headache during a monthly deep clean.
5. A quick scrub every day keeps bacteria away
After taking a shower, quickly clean the walls with a solution made up of half bleach and half water. If needed, substitute bleach with vinegar. It doesn’t take you much time, yet the result is huge - no soap scum or mold would dare to nest in your bathroom.
