Reno Omokri slams presidency over alleged bribe to Justice Ademola by Buhari's lawyer

Former President Goodluck Jonathan's aide on new media Reno Omokri has mocked the Nigerian presidency for saying that the money giving by President Muhammadu Buhari's lawyer to Justice Ademola while presiding over his certificate case in 2015 was a gift.

In tweets on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday, February 22, Omokri wondered how the N500,000 given by Buhari's counsel Awodein to Justice Ademola could transform into a gift from a bribe.

He wondered further why the president's lawyer can do such and the lawyers of others could not.

Recall that the presidency and Awodein jointly released a statement on Wednesday in which they both called the alleged bribe a gift and said it was not approved by Buhari but given by Awodein to Ademola ahead of his daughter's wedding at the time.
