Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak, has promised that the October 20 Ondo State governorship election will be peaceful.
Gulak said this on Sunday in Abuja in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria.
“It is going to be peaceful election, one man one vote, one woman one vote, one youth one vote,” he said.
He added that the security officials would be deployed in the state to prevent break down of law and order.
Gulak said the election in Edo State, where the people spoke through the ballot box, would be replicated in Ondo .
He said, “There will be no incidence of ballot snatching or ballot stuffing, it happened in Edo, President Jonathan made the promise and it happened.”
He, however, encouraged the participating parties to go into mobilisation tour, “to look for the votes and not for excuses”.
