The House of Representatives has threatened to drag officials of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to the EFCC in its determination to uncover an alleged foreign exchange manipulation scam.
The warning which was issued by the House committee on the review of price of petroleum products, comes shortly after some oil companies whose names appeared on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) list as those that accessed forex for oil activities, denied having collected such monies, Vanguard reports.
But the chairman of the committee, Raphael Nnanna Igbokwe, warned that the committee would get to the root of the matter to determine the level of involvement of officials of NNPC in the alleged foreign exchange manipulation scam.
Meanwhile, speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has said the fight to totally eliminate corruption will be a futile effort as it cannot be totally eliminated.

Dogara, who made this statement during an interview with Daily Trust, said an attempt to totally eliminate corruption will be the same as an attempt to end humanity.
