After Babachir's suspension, Office of the SGF postpones annual retreat

- The Office of the Secretary General of the Federation has postponed its annual retreat following the suspension of the former boss Babachir Lawal

- The retreat which was scheduled to hold in Yola in Adamawa state

- The OSGF said a new date will be communicated to participants and all invited guests for the annual retreat for all secretaries of state government

Following the suspension of the former Secretary General of the Federation (SGF) Babachir Lawal, the Office of the SGF has postponed its annual retreat.

The OSGF on Friday, April 21, said the annual retreat which was scheduled to hold in Yola, Adamawa state on April 23 has been postponed.

A statement by the director of press for the OSGF Bolaji Adebiyi said a new date will be communicated to participants and all invited guests for the annual retreat for all secretaries of state government.

"The annual retreat of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation with Secretaries to State Governments scheduled to hold in Yola, Adamawa State, from April 23 to 25, 2017 has been postponed," Adebiyi said.

"A new date will be communicated to all participants and invited guests in due course, the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation regrets any inconveniences," he said.

NAIJ.com recalls that Babachir was suspended alongside the director general of the National Intelligence Agency Ayodele Oke for various degrees of infractions.

Babachir has been accused of awarding contract to the tune of N200 million for cutting of grasses in the North-East.
