Presidency denies resignation of Kyari and DSS boss Daura

- Presidency says Abba Kyari remains President Buhari's chief of staff

- President Buhari's aide on new media Bashir Ahmad said DSS DG Lawal Daura has also not resigned

- The reports comes just as President Buhari shops for a new SGF after suspending Babachir

The Presidency has denied reports making the rounds that President Muhammadu Buhari's chief of staff Abba Kyari and Department of State Service director-general Lawal Daura have resigned.

President Buhari's personal assistant on new media Bashir Ahmad issued the denial late on Sunday, April 23.

According to a singular tweet from the presidential aide, the two officials have not resigned their appointments as reported.

Presidency says Kyari has not resigned his appointment as chief of staff to President Buhari.

He tweeted:

The reports come just days after President Buhari suspended another cabinet member Babachir David Lawal, the secretary to the state government of the federation and head of Nigeria's spy organisation National Intelligence Agency Ayodele Oke on Wednesday, April 19.

The development was made announced in a statement signed by the special adviser to the President on media and publicity Femi Adesina.
