- Osinbajo had led the country since he received the baton from President Muhammadu Buhari who is on medical vacation

Nigeria’s acting president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo is currently meeting with top security chiefs in the country, reports have indicated.

NAIJ.com reports that Osinbajo took over the mantle of leading the country temporarily following President Muhammadu Buhari’s medical trip to London.

According to The Nation, Osinbajo is meeting with the security chiefs behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Osinbajo is said to be meeting with the security chiefs behind closed doors

Those reportedly at the meeting include the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gabriel Olonishakin and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno.

Others, according to the report, include the minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, and the minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

The meeting which commenced at 3:05 pm was ongoing at the time of this report.
