SEE how many JAMB results have been released, number remaining

- The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of exams taken so far

- The examinations are set to end on Saturday, May 20, after which the rest will be released

- Despite hiccups, JAMB spokesman, Dr Fabian Benjamin says the exam has been marked excellent by all stakeholders, parent, students and the mass media

On Tuesday, May 16, 2017, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said it has released the results of the first set of candidates who took the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Saturday, May 13.

Dr Fabian Benjamin the head of information at JAMB said the results were released “within 24 hours of the examination and candidates are to check their e-mail addresses or visit the board's website for their results.”

According to Daily Trust he also revealed that a total of 742,906 candidates took the examination on Saturday, 13th and Monday 15th May, 2017 while 401,292 candidates were expected to write the exam on Tuesday, May 16.

Speaking on the success so far, he said the examination was adjudged “excellent by all stakeholders, parent, students and the mass media. Particularly acknowledged, was the prompt response of the board to very few technical issues reported during the nationwide exercise.”

He revealed that a technical team was on standby at the JAMB headquarters to receive and address complaints from the 642 centres across the country. the examinations are slated to end on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that JAMB has arrested cyber café operators who sold information to candidates for N10,000.

Dr Benjamin, made the statement in Abuja on Sunday, May 14, that the operators deliberately changed the e-mail addresses and passwords of candidates to ensure that messages sent to the candidates by JAMB gets to them (operators of cyber cafes).
