JUST IN: NNPC GMD Baru loses son in Dubai

- The 21-year old son to the general managing director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Maikanti Baru is dead

- Baru's son died in Dubai, United Arab Emirate (UE) on Thursday, May 18

- The family is yet to release an official statement on the boy's death

The 21-year old son to the general managing director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Maikanti Baru is dead, Per Second News reports.

Legit.ng gathered that the boy died in Dubai, United Arab Emirate (UE) on Thursday, May 18

Baru had earlier lost his mother Hajiya Fatima in April in their hometown Misau in Bauchi state.

Also, a few weeks ago, Baru's sister died on the eve of one of his trip to Houston in Texas for a conference.

Tragedy also struck at the Baru's family when some guest returning from his daughter's wedding died in an accident.

Sources said the Baru family are inconsolable of the tragedy that has happened within a short period of time.

However, the family is yet to issue an official statement regarding the loss of Baru's son.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the NNPC had debunked claims of a recruitment currently going on in the corporation.

The NNPC also urged the general public to beware of fraudsters aimed at collecting money from unsuspecting applicants with the promise of giving them jobs.

The corporation also advised the Nigerian public to always visit its official website for any announcement or information concerning job applications.
