Not fewer than 13 days 6 pupils were kidnapped in Lagos school, parents storm Ambode’s office
- Parents of the kidnapped students of the Lagos state Model College, Igbonla, Epe stormed office of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode
- The parents of the victims were said to have told the state government that they could no longer exercise patience over the whereabouts of their children
- They were seen weeping and wailing on Wednesday morning, June 7, and demanding the government to have mercy on them
Less than 14 days after 6 pupils of the Lagos state Model College, Igbonla, Epe were kidnapped in Lagos, parents of the kidnapped students have stormed Governor Akinwumi Ambode’s office in tears.
The parents were on Wednesday morning, June 7, paid the state governor an unexpected.
According to PM news, the parents said the kidnappers told them on Tuesday, June 26, that four of their children were now sick.

The kidnappers, according to the parents said they would no longer negotiate with the parents again or allow them to speak with their children because they wanted to negotiate with the government.
Toyin Philips, mother of Pelumi, a 17-year old student who was among kidnapped demanded for government’s swift intervention in the situation.
“I want my son back. I sent my son to the school because there was no money. If I had the money they are demanding for, would I have sent my son to that school?” she asked.
Spokesperson of the parents, Dapo Adesega lamented that their children had been with the kidnappers for 14 days and that government had not deemed it fit to communicate with them.
“If you don’t communicate with us, how do we know that government cares for our plight. If we had not come here today, we won’t have heard anything from the government government officials.

‘’Our kids are not allowed to talk to us again, I took my child to a government, so the government should help us,” he stated.
An official of the Lagos state government later came to address the parents and assured them that government would stop at nothing until the children were released.
He told the parents that the state government had been working round the clock to ensure the release of the children and that it would happen very soon.
Meanwhile Legit.ng earlier reported that some hours after Olarinde Famous-Cole, the Lagos state police public relations officer said the police were working “tactically” to rescue the six abducted pupils of Lagos state model college, in Igbonla, Epe, kidnappers who have held the pupils in captives for about 12 days ago, rejected the N2 million ransom offered by parents of the kids.
A family source disclosed that the kidnappers declined the ransom offered by the parents.
