The Kano state chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC) chapter in Bebeji local government area has expelled Abdulmumin Jibrin, The Cable reports.
NAIJ.com gathered that the local government chairman of the party, Sani Ranka, based the action on alleged anti-party activities by Jibrin.
Ranka at a press briefing on Thursday, June 15, accused the suspended member of the house of representatives of promoting divisive tendencies.
He said: “The party will not condone indiscipline and disrespect to leaders or duly constituted authority. We hereby inform the world that Jibrin has been expelled from our great party.”
It was reported that other party executives at the briefing said stakeholders reached a unanimous decision to expel Jibrin.
NAIJ.com previously reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, June 13, received the suspended chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations at its headquarters in Abuja.
During the interrogation which lasted for five hours, Jibrin, was made to explain details of the budget process and some of the illegal and alleged corrupt practices by some lawmakers in the House of Representatives.

The former appropriation chairman was also made to explain to the EFCC the implemented constituency projects through some companies owned by the lawmakers.
