The minister of information and culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, has said acting president, Yemi Osinbajo, communicates with President Muhammadu Buhari on a daily basis.
Lai Mohammed disclosed this on Thursday, June 15, when he appeared on Channels Television show, Politics Today.
The minister said there is so much trust between the president and his vice.
Lai Mohammed expressed the confidence that the meetings the acting president is having with leaders of the north and south-east amid growing tension in both regions was backed by Buhari.
He said: "The Acting President is daily in touch with Mr President so I am very confident that Mr President is in the full know of what the Acting President is doing and there is so much trust between the acting president and the president I don’t think there should be an area of concern at all.”

Meanwhile, Acting president, Yemi Osinbajo, has held a closed door meeting with the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting commenced shortly after the emir arrived Osinbajo's office at exactly 2.40pm, on Thursday, June 15.
The meeting which took place at the Vice-President’s mini conference room, lasted for about two hours.
When accosted by journalists, the Emir declined to comment on the outcome of the meeting.
However it was gathered that the Emir was on a “Thank You’’ visit to the acting president, who recently joined other well meaning Nigerians to stop the Kano State House of Assembly from its investigation of alleged misappropriation of funds and other infractions levelled against the Emir.
