- Onochie says Kanu was not invited alongside other Igbo leaders to Aso Rock because he was not considered one
- The aide to President Buhari on social media mocked Kanu as being more of the creator of a new religion than an Igbo leader
- She was reacting to reports that Kanu is reportedly angry at not being invited when Osinbajo met Igbo leaders during the week
President Muhammadu Buhari's personal assistant on social media Lauretta Onochie has tackled IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu and denied that he is a leader in Igbo land.
In a tweet on Saturday, June 17, Onochie said Kanu was not invited to Aso Rock by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo when he met with Southeast leaders because the one-time Director of Radio Biafra was not considered one of them.
Onochie was reacting to a tweet by a follower who claimed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was angry that he was not invited to Aso Rock.
She however mocked Kanu, saying he is probably more of a creator of a new religion in the southeast than a leader.
Onochie was probably referring to many reports and photos of Kanu praying for people who throng to see him since his release from prison on bail in May.
NAIJ.com had reported a while back that Nnamdi Kanu may have carried out a 'miraculous act' in Anambra state.
After attaining the status of a 'demigod' among most Biafra supporters who seem to worship him, Nnamdi Kanu may have added 'healer' to his CV.
The recently released IPOB leader visited Anambra state in a bid to meet with some leaders of the South Eastern part of Nigeria.
During his visit, he was at a village called Umunnachi, where he met some of the villagers including the youths and the elders.
One of the villagers claims he was even healed by the 'prophet of Biafra land'.
