Billionaire kidnap kingpin Evans reveals location of his gang member

- Notorious billionaire kidnapper Evans has revealed the location of one of his gang members

- Evans also claims he can't locate one of his hideouts after taking the police round aimlessly for hours

- He disclosed that the missing hideout was rented by a member of his gang

Notorious billionaire kidnapper Chukwudi Onuamadike aka Evans revealed to the Lagos state police command that he could not locate one of his dens after taking them round the state in a frantic search.

NAIJ.com gathered that Evans on Tuesday, June 20, told the police that he could not locate the hideout because it was rented by one of his gang members.

However, he told the police where the gang member is.

The detectives left the command headquarters, in Ikeja early yesterday, in company of the suspect, Vanguard reports.

They were however surprised by the way Evans took them round the city aimlessly for hours only to inform them later that he could not locate the hideout.

He said: “I cannot divide myself into two. The person that rented the place is now in Abuja. You can look for him there. I have done my own and I cannot deceive you people. So, look for him in Abuja.”

Earlier, NAIJ.com reported that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, attributed the arrest of Evans, to information sharing and intelligence cooperation among police services in West Africa.

“Information sharing is crucial to tackling the menace of trans-border crimes in West Africa; it is through such exchange that we were able to nab a Ghanaian/Nigerian kidnapper two weeks ago, after evading arrest for many years,” Idris said on Wednesday, June 21.

The police chief, who solicited closer ties among security agencies in the sub-region, emphasized the need to improve the method of monitoring and surveillance, particularly among border and coastal police units.
