Babatunde Fashola, the minister of works, power and housing and Senate president Bukola Saraki among others are currently in Saudi Arabia for the lesser hajj.
NAIJ.com also gathered that the deputy speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly Wasiu Eshinlokun and a member of Lagos legislature Sikiru Oshinowo paid Fashola a courtesy visit in Mecca on Thursday, June 22.
On his own part, Saraki is reported to have been in the Muslim Holy City for about three days while Senator Ashafa also joined Fashola for a picture in Mecca.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) said intending pilgrims for the 2017 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia will not be charged standardized transport fare.
The Executive Chairman of NAHCON, Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammad, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Wednesday that the commission was all it could to reduce the cost of transportation in view of the current economic realities.
