Ahead of Anambra election, 2 Bishops pray for former minister Osita Chidoka (photos)

- The Bishops of Anglican and Methodists churches have prayed for a former minister of aviation Osita Chidoka

- The Bishops prayed for Chidoka at the synod of the Niger West Diocese in Aguleri, Anambra state

- The minister also threw his support for the present governor of the state Willie Obiano on some project carried out by his administration

Two Bishops have prayed for the former minister of aviation Osita Chidoka.

The Bishop of Anglican and Methodist Churches offered prayers for Chidoka who has indicated interest for the forthcoming Anambra gubernatorial election.

Chidoka will be contesting against the incumbent governor Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and others aspirants, on the platform of United Progressive Party (UPP).

The Bishops while offering their prayers which took place at the synod of the Niger West Diocese in Aguleri called on all politicians to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship for the election.

The former minister speaking said he was also at the meeting to support the state governor who hails from Aguleri on some projects by Obiano's administration.

Chidoka said he was not in the service for political campaign but to attend the synod and show solidarity to the governor by supporting the church in his hometown.

He also commended the church and its leadership for providing spiritual guidance to the people while urging the congregation to continue to pray for him as well as the well-being of the state.

Chidoka made his request when he attend the synod of the Niger West Diocese in Aguleri, Anambra state

In his remarks, the Bishops of the Anglican Communion and the Methodist Church offered prayers for the former minister.

They also urged him to and other politicians to adopt the spirit of fairness in the state's election.

Speaking, the Bishop of Methodist Church Biereonwu Onuagha said who will with the election is still unclear.

Onuagha said God in heaven is the only one who is aware of who would win the next election in Anambra state.

He also prayed that God grant Chidoka the grace, strength and divine guidance as he pursues his aspiration.

He said needed prayers for his political ambition in the state

NAIJ.com had reported how the former minister drove the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu out of Kuje Prison.

The former minister while speaking to NAIJ.com said he played a major role in the release of Kanu because he belongs to a generation of the fearless Ndigbo.

Meanwhile, the IPOB in an exclusive interview with NAIJ.com said the former minister is a true Igbo man.

Kanu also said his relationship with Chidoka is cordial.
