The embattled Senator Dino Melaye has ridiculed the Kogi state governor Yahaya Bello for commissioning his first project since his assumption of duty in the state.
Melaye in a tweet mocked the governor for showcasing the commissioning of one project - a transformer - in Koton Karfi, Kogi state.
"It was a serious party at koton karfi as GYB commissioned his first project since he became the kogi state governor, one transformer kai!!!!," Melaye tweeted.
NAIJ.com gathered that the Kogi state governor Yahaya Bello commissioned a 300 KVA transformer in Koton Karfi area of the state's capital city.
Bello while speaking during the commissioning said the new project was completed in line with the fulfillment of his campaign promise to provide electricity for the people of Kogi state.
He said adequate electricity supply will ensure opening of the cottage industries in the state.
Bello promised that the commissioning of transformers will be extended to more rural communities while admonishing residents to expand their trades through the new project.
He further urged the people to ensure that the new transformer is secured and adequately guarded to avoid vandalism while mandating residents to pay their bills for effective service of the facility.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that Melaye had accused the governor of plotting his removal from the National Assembly.
The senator in his defence said contrary to reports that their is no constituency office in Kogi West Senatorial District which he represents, he has built an office for his constituency unlike colleagues who rent shops for theirs.
