The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the Central States of the country on Tuesday morning.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook issued by its Central Forecast Office (CFO), on Monday in Abuja, predicted day and night temperatures of 28 to 32 and 18 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted thunderstorms over Jos, Abuja, Gombe, Kaduna, Lafia, Lokoja and Bauchi in the afternoon.
It predicted that the Southern States would experience cloudy morning with prospect of rains over Badagry, Calabar, Ikom and Eket with day and night temperatures of 28 to 31 and 21 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
It also predicted thunderstorms over Osogbo, Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Obudu, Awka, Onitsha, Benin, Enugu, Abakaliki, Yenagoa, Calabar, Uyo, Port Harcourt and Eket in the afternoon and evening hours.
According to NiMet, the Northern States will experience cloudy morning with prospect of thunderstorm over Maiduguru, Yola and Nguru and thunderstorms over Kano, Katsina, Jigawa and Yobe in the afternoon.
“The region is anticipated to have day and night temperatures in the range of 31 to 38 and 22 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
“More rainfall are expected within the next 24 hours due to the presence of moisture at the lower level over the country,” NiMet predicted.
