Revealed! 3 reasons Senate stands against acting president Osinbajo

- The main reason Senate is hostile with the acting president Yemi Osinbajo has been revealed

- A source said that Osinbajo’s comment on Magu was used by the Senate as a cover up

- It was gathered that Melaye’s recall was part of the reasons for the Senate’s hostility against him

Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo's comment on the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, was not the main reason the Senators drew a battle line against him.

Daily Trust reliably gathered from high level sources at the Senate that there are three reasons considered as “unpardonable sins of the acting President” for their stance against Osinbajo.

NAIJ.com gathered that Osinbajo’s comment on Magu, the sources said, was only used as a cover up to justify the hostile action.

His sins are:

1. Federal Government’s appeal of the judgement of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) in the asset declaration case against the Senate President Bukola Saraki.

2. Ongoing bid to recall Senator Dino Melaye in Kogi West by members of his constituents was being considered as ploy to get at Saraki.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is being teleguided by the Presidency and Melaye is his (Saraki) top loyalist,” a source told Daily Trust.

3. The third reason was the issue of the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, who he said was acting the script of the acting President “to abuse the National Assembly and shortchanged five out of the six geopolitical zones.”

The senators are not happy because Acting President has refused to call Fashola to order.

NAIJ.com had earlier reported that APC leaders met over the crisis between the presidency and the Senate on the appointment of EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu.

According to the report, the party intervened in the crisis and would declare its position before the end of this week.

In the interview below with NAIJ.com TV, APC chieftain, Comrade Timi Frank warns the ruling party to resolve its internal bickering before 2019:
