Senator Melaye vows to battle Governor Bello for Kogi workers’ unpaid salaries

- Melaye says he will not stop his battle to ensure that workers of the north-central state are paid their outstanding salaries

- The Senator says he is the voice of the voiceless in Kogi state and he will not stop fighting for his people

- Melaye says Yahaya Bello must pay the salaries of all the workers

Dino Melaye, Senator representing Kogi West, has declared his readiness to fight to a standstill the government of his state over salaries of workers.

In tweets late on Friday, July 14, Senator Melaye said the battle for workers’ salaries is a ‘no retreat, no surrender’ one.

He tweeted:

Melaye's declaration comes just days after NAIJ.com reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) halted the process of recalling Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west in the Senate.

A national commissioner of the commission Adedeji Soyebi disclosed on Thursday July 13 that the decision was in line with a court ruling.

NAIJ.com gathered that earlier that the federal high court, Abuja asked INEC and Melaye to maintain “status quo” pending the determination of a suit filed by Melaye to challenge the process.
