- Senator Shehu Sani made comparisons between the corruption during the Goodluck Jonathan government and the alleged corruption taking place in the present Buhari regime
- Sani used various metaphors to illustrate the various key players and issues, as he drove home his important point
- The ruling party senator predicted that just as the corruption of the Jonathan administration was eventually exposed, the one occurring currently, will also be exposed
Senator Shehu Sani (APC-Kaduna Central) has alleged that under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, massive corruption and looting of funds is taking place.
Sani illustrated his point via the use of metaphors.
NAIJ.com notes that the senator compared the scale of looting under this current government to that which was allegedly committed by the former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki during the Goodluck Jonathan administration i.e., the arms deal scam.
In a post on his Facebook page, Sani predicted that the alleged embezzlement of the Paris Club refund will also be exposed, just like the arms deal scam was.
In the post, the Senator metaphorically referred to the Dasuki debacle as ‘the arms fortune’, the Peoples Democratic Party as ‘the umbrella’, the Paris Club refund as ‘the France fortune’, and used the word ‘swept’, in relation to the ruling All Progressives Congress party whose symbol is a broom.
He stated: “As the arms fortune hidden under the umbrella is known, the France fortune swept under the carpet will be known.”
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Shehu Sani listed all the factors mitigating against Nigeria's progress and unity.
Sani on his Facebook page said the slow death of patriotic spirit among Nigerians is evident in the indifference to Independence Day celebrations.
He also decried the negligence of institutions like the National Youth Service Corps which were established to promote national unity.
