- Vice president Yemi Osinbajo arrived Lagos at about 12 noon on Monday, August 21
- He is in Lagos to attend the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference
- While being interviewed at the conference, Osinbajo said the future of Nigeria is very bright
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo arrived Lagos state on Monday, August 21, to attend the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference (NBA2017AGC).
He was received by Governor Umar Ganduje of Kano state and the president of the NBA, Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud.
Osinbajo was interviewed by CNN international anchor, Zain Asher at the conference.
While speaking on the administration of Buhari, Osinbajo said: "We are committed to running a government that is transparent & responds to yearnings of Nigerians.
"The future of Nigeria is very bright. We're going to do great things."

Others present at the event are: Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos state, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau state, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari, who returned to Nigeria on Saturday, August 19, has written a letter to the National Assembly to resume office.
Buhari will be taking over immediately from Osinbajo who has played the role of acting president since the president left for UK on medical trip on May 7, 2017.
President Buhari resumed fully back to his post as the president on Monday, August 21.
