They say disability is not inability, and model Ayanna Michele seems to understand this too well.
The middle-aged Nigerian student was not born deaf, but she is hoping to challenge the glamorous industry to accommodate disabled individuals.
In an Instagram post which has since gone viral, Ayanna opened up about her pursuit to change the impressions of disability in the industry.
In the inspiring post, she uncovered that she has been having hearing challenges since she was a child, and at some point her mom argued that she was just being mischievous.
Her condition notwithstanding, Ayanna still excelled through her schooling with the help of a hearing aid which she wore on her left year.
