In addition, the JAMB Registrar, Is-haq Oloyede reiterated that CAPS (the Central Admission Processing System) would be used for the regulation of the admission processes into higher institutions (polytechnics included). He mentioned that tertiary institutions could also adopt the dual-mode system.
To avoid illegal admissions, Mr. Is-haq Oloyede added that the process of admission will work automatically and candidates have to be confirmed by the JAMB Registrar.
Also, Mr. Adamu Adamu (the Minister of Education) announced a cancellation of the Post-UTME examination prohibition. He claimed that post-UTME prohibition led a lot of candidates and some tertiary institution to violate the rules.
Since the ban has been canceled, candidates now need to take an exam before admission. The fee for the exam should not be over 2000 Naira.
