In the world Cup qualifier against Cameroon, The Super Eagles showed great class in the execution of the game, giving it the strong level of professionalism that such a game deserves.
We at NAIJ.com will be looking at the top 5 Super Eagles performer in qualifier against Cameroon. (This was actually hard for us to pick, as the entire team was actually spot on)
1. Victor Moses:
Super Eagles with Victor in the lineup is always one to expect Sparks of outstanding brilliant performance from. It's of little wonder that the Eagles struggled and lost against South Africa in the Nation's cup qualifier while we won all two games that he was involved in the same qualifiers.
In the game against Cameroon, the Chelsea winger was a ton in their flesh of the Cameroonians as they couldn't handle his pace and swift dribbles.
2. Ikechukwu Ezenwa:
For a 3rd choice goalkeeper to step in, in such an important match, one would have ordinarily expected certain blunders perhaps due to inexperience playing at this stage. But Ikechukwu would have none of that, he was on top form and his touches, clear out and saves were all of top gear. And the clean sheets for the Ifeanyi Ubah FC shot-stopper at the end of the match was one well deserved. Who else notice the comic driving mimic celebration by Ezenwa? Great stuff.
3. Leon Balogun:
There was no doubt that the presence of our "Oyibo" defender was well missed in the game against South Africa as they was an obvious gab in defence communication in that match. And the reverse was the case with Balogun back in the defense against Cameroon, as he was virtually every where in the heart of the defense, making sure that there was no celebration by the Cameroonians
4. Mikel Obi:
Another commanding from Mikel, shows clearly what Nigeria missed in the game against South Africa. Mikel's commanding presence was felt in the defense against Cameroon, and he commanded the flow game diligently, acting as the link between the midfield and the attack. A role he handled professionally till he exited the game in the second half.
5. Odion Ighalo:

The power of the former Watford attacker was all that the Super Eagles need to leverage on as they slowly calm down into the game after his fantastic strike leading to the first goal. All through his stay in the game before suffering a knock that brought him out for Ihenacho , Ighalo was a real menace to the Cameroon defence.
