APC squandering goodwill that brought them to power - Cleric

- The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kogi state has been accused of squandering the goodwill that brought them to power

- The Catholic Bishop of Idah Diocese, Reverend Moses Adaji, said many people are disappointed because APC led federal government has not been able to fulfill their expectations

- Adaji, however, urged those in position of authority not see it as an opportunity to enrich themselves

The Catholic Bishop of Idah Diocese, Reverend Moses Adaji has accused All Progressive Congress ( APC) in Kogi state of squandering the goodwill that brought them to power.

Reports have it that Adaji made this known while interacting with the press as part of the occasion marking the tenth anniversary of his consecration as the bishop of diocese.

He said: ''In my ten years of service in the Lords vineyard, I have visited many places in the state; what I see are people who have been frustrated and disappointed due to the fact that government have not been able fulfill their expectations.

''Those in position of authority should not see it as an opportunity to enrich themselves, it is not a call to self service or an opportunity to stash away money in a foreign land or for your children, it s call to service to fellow being''.

He urged the political class in the state to live by example and see their political appointment as a call to service rather than an opportunity to amass wealth at the expense of the electorates.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that Nigeria’s main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) accused APC of destroying the country’s economy and political system in just two years.
