Three months after being sacked by the Supreme Court, 3 lawmakers are yet to refund all salaries and allowances received, as directed by the apex court, Premium Times reports.

The monies amount to N61 million cumulatively, and as yet, there are no indications that the affected lawmakers - Sopuluchukwu Ezeonwuka who formerly represented the Orhumba north/south federal constituency, Anambra state; Herman Hembe, Vandeikiya/Konshisha federal constituency, Benue state; and former senator Sani Danladi , Taraba north senatorial district, Taraba state- have returned the cash.

NAIJ.com gathers that the monies to be returned were streamlined to just salaries and allowances which are approved by the revenue agency, even though it is believed that lawmakers earn much more.

On an individual basis, Sopuluchukwu Ezeonwuka, who was sacked by the apex court in April 2017, is expected to refund about N17.4m.

He was directed to do so within 90 days of the court’s judgement; but according to investigations, he is yet to do so.

Herman Hembe and Sani Danladi were both sacked in June 2017, and also expected to refund specified amounts - N19million for Hembe, and N24.7million for Danladi- within 90 days.

However, over 90 days later, there is still no indication that any of the men have returned the monies.
