The national chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Yabagi Sani, has bashed the All Progressives Congress (APC), for selling the image of Buhari to Nigerians in 2015, rather than selling programmes.
Sani made his comments during an interview programme on Channels TV.
NAIJ.com notes that Sani chided the ruling party for going about, screaming the president’s name during the election period in 2015, as if that was the “solution to the country’s problems”.
He stated: “That is the mistake APC made, they were shouting Buhari, Buhari like it is the solution.
"Buhari is not God, he is a human being, he has his short-comings as a human being.
“Instead of selling programmes, they were selling images to people.
“That is why they cannot stand, the system cannot stand, everything surrounding individual, it doesn’t work that way."
Sani also stated that the national chairman of the APC, John Oyegun, was only relevant during elections.
He stated: “The only time Oyegun is relevant is when they want to go for elections.
"They can’t even have a board meeting, they don’t even have a board of trustees.”
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the national chairman of the new mega party, Action Democratic Party (ADP), Yagbaji Sani, said the party was poised to oust President Muhammadu Buhari from government in the 2019 general election due to the situation in the country.
Sani also said the structure of the new party gives it an advantage over other political parties in the country.
