- Senator Shehu Sani has contributed to the Abdulrashid Maina corruption saga currently going on

- On his official Twitter page, the senator representing Kaduna Central District expressed disappointment

- Maina's properties are being sealed by the EFCC as the manhunt for him continues

Legit.ng had earlier reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Comission (EFCC) has begun a manhunt for the former head of the presidential task force on pension reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina.

Maina was sacked from the federal civil service in 2013 and was in 2015 placed on the wanted list of INTERPOL by the EFCC.

The EFCC's move is as a result of media reports on Friday, October 20, which indicated that Maina had been secretly reinstated to the civil service, with promotion, despite being wanted for alleged corruption.

Senator Shehu Sani had this to say on Twitter:

Legit.ng earlier reported that Senator Sani spoke about the intrigues that surrounded the recall of Abdulrasheed Maina, in the civil service.

The senator representing Kaduna central at the Nigerian Senate suggested that the group, known as the cabal, which is thought to have strong influence on the presidency was responsible for the reinstatement of the ex-pension boss into the civil service.
