Buhari has done fairly well but could do more - Senator Wamakko

- An All Progressives Congress (APC) senator has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is struggling with ruling Nigeria

- The senator said the expectations of Nigerians are high

- Aliyu Wamakko also said that Nigeria is a complex country and can be very difficult for an individual to handle

The senator representing Sokoto North senatorial district, Aliyu Wamakko, on Tuesday, October 24, said President Muhammadu Buhari is struggling to meet up with the expectations of Nigerians.

Wamakko also said that the challenges facing Nigeria is complex for any individual to handle.

While stating that the President Buhari's administration has done fairly well since assuming office in 2015, Wamakko said there is much work needed to be done in Nigeria for citizens too feel the impact.

My reflection about APC government and Buhari in two years: I will say depending on the circumstances we found ourselves and the challenges he had along the way, I think he (Buhari) has done fairly well but could do more.

“Human beings have different expectations of government. Some will focus on health sector, water supply, agriculture, economy while some will look at security. In the area of security, he has done fairly well except the kidnap menace that has been bedevilling the country,” the former governor said.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the chairman of the Project Nigeria Movement and Igbo Leaders of Thought, Professor Ben Nwabueze, had accused President Buhari of instigating disunity among Nigerians.

Professor Nwabueze alleged that the president is only interested in issues and agenda in the northern region of Nigeria.

He said the president's utterances under reference manifest shows a pre-determined Islamisation/northernisation agenda.
