Nollywood actor Yul Edochie unveils running mate in Anambra elections

- Yule Edochie's running mate is an engineer trained in the United Kingdom

- The man, Emeka Okonkwo was unveiled at the weekend at a school field in Ummunachi, Anambra state

- Yul promised to operate a people-friendly government and create jobs

Nollywood actor and governorship candidate of the Democratic People's Congress (DPC) Yul Edochie has unveiled his running mate in the Anambra election.

Anambra Broadcasting Service reported on Saturday, October 28 that Yul, who is also the son of veteran actor Pete Edochie, chose a Staffordshire University of England-trained Mechatronics Engineer Emeka Okonkwo to contest with him.

The unveiling was held at the Central School field, Umunnachi in Dunukofia local government area of Anambra state.

Yul promised that if voted in, he would operate an all-inclusive government and pay especial attention to job creation.

After his unveiling, Emeka Okonkwo addressed the crowd and corroborated Yul's stance on governance.

The engineer appealed to voters to ignore immediate gains and vote in someone who would bring democracy dividends to their doorsteps.

Legit.ng reported that Yul Edochie overcame all odds to be elected by the Democratic People’s Congress (DPC) delegates as the party's flagbearer for the upcoming Anambra gubernatorial election.

The actor was elected unopposed during the party’s congress which held at Fun Surge Hotel, Awka.
