Dignitaries visit Senator Goje to condole with him on the loss of his wife, burial postponed indefinitely

- The burial of Hajiya Fatima Yelwa Goje has been postponed indefinitely.

- The former first lady of the state and wife of former governor, Senator Danjuma Goje, died on Monday, October 30

- There has been outpouring of emotions since the demise of the former first lady was announced

Contrary to the expectations that the corpse of Hajia Fatima Yelwa Goje, wife of Senator Danjuma Goje, would arrive Gombe state for burial this morning, the burial arrangement has been shifted indefinitely.

Meanwhile, more and more dignitaries from across the country have been visiting the revered senator in his Abuja home to commiserate with him.

“As a committed Muslim, the corpse should have been buried immediately according to Islamic injunction, if she had died in Nigeria. But hopefully, the airspace would clear the corpse to arrive Nigeria tomorrow, Saturday,” a source close to the family told journalists.

A day after the death of Hajiya Goje, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, national leader of All Progressives Congress, lost his first son, Jide, on Tuesday, October 31.
