Ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo has visited Ebonyi state for a tour sponsored by the Zero Hunger Team (ZHT).
The former head of state arrived Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi state around 3.10pm and was received by Governor, David Umahi, his commissioners and other top government functionaries, The sun reports
Obasanjo also inspected a guard of honour mounted for him by a special guard of the Nigerian Army.
NAIJ.com learnt that some governors who are also members of the Zero Hunger Team are still expected in the state.
They include: Samuel Ortom, Benue; Ibikunle Amosun, Ogun; Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Kebbi, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Sokoto and Kashim Shetima of Borno State, and Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state.

The report projected that about 4.8 million Nigerians may face critical food insecurity situations in 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in 2018.
While analysing the in a stakeholder meeting on Friday, November 3 in Abuja, Sufyyan Koroma, the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Country Representative, said it has become necessary to provide reliable data on food security status in 16 states and FCT, Daily Trust reports.
On the part of the federal government, Dr Bukar Hassan, the permanent secretary, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said the report will assist government to take the necessary steps to address food crisis and emergency situation in the country.
