- On the list, Osinbajo has 52 aides while the president has 24
- On his part, attorney general of the federation has six presidential aides attached to his office
The list of the presidential aides to President Buhari, Vice President Osinbajo and other top functionaries of the government has been uncovered by a popular news outlet.
Premium Times reports that apart from the two men, Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, has eight aides attached to him.
Abubakar Malami, attorney general of the federation on his part has six presidential aides atttached to his office, while the secretary to the government of the federation has five of such aides.
Aisha Buhari has three recognised aides while the two presidential media assistants are attached to the minister of information and Culture, Lai Mohammed.
Going by the list, Buhari has a total number of 24 aides while Osinbajo has 52.
It was reported that the vice president has 21 appointees who handle key areas from economy to social investment programme and media, with another list of 31 aides to his name.
However, the list of 31 aides are grouped into two; 14 are identified as donor funded while the rest are categorised as “government funded”.
The list funded by donor include senior special assistants on power, IDPs, power privatization, monitoring and evaluation, among others.

Meanwhile, the list has some omissions, the news outlets reports.
Some of the omissions are:
1. Bashir Ahmad, a Personal Assistant of Buhari on New Media
2. Abdulrahman Baffa Yola, a special assistant to the president on inter-governmental affairs, working in the office of the vice president.
3. The list also does not include security personnel and civil servants attached to these individual - protocol officers and chief security officers.
4. The president's Aide de Camp, ADC. and that of the police officer serving the vice president in similar role.
“This is in addition to a routine of other officials deployed from all over the government to serve the two men,” a presidency source said.

The federal government disclosed that a total of 176,160 graduate beneficiaries have been deployed under its Social Investment Programme, N-Power.
The figure was contained in a book entitled: ‘‘Making Steady, Sustainable Progress for Nigeria’s Peace and Prosperity: A Mid-Term Report Card on the Buhari Administration’’ co-authored by the presidential media team.
