- Gernot Rohr has stated clearly that Bryan Idowu will make the final list to Russia 2018
- The defender has been invited to the Super Eagles and could make his debut today
- Nigeria will face Argentina this evening in what will be an explosive encounter
Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has explained that newly invited Nigerian defender Bryan Idowu will make his final list for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The 25-year-old player who currently plays for Amkar Perm Star in Russia was part of the pre match conference on Monday, November 13, alongside Gernot Rohr and John Obi Mikel.
Idowu is expected to make his debut for Nigeria this evening when the Super Eagles face Argentina in what will be a tough friendly match in Russia.
'’A year ago, Idowu was invited to the national team, but then he did not play because of the difficulty with the limit on the foreign players in the Russian championship.
‘’But now the situation has changed. And tomorrow he is likely to play. I look forward to Brian not only as a good interpreter in Russia, but also as a full-fledged player who will make the World Cup roster.’’ Rohr told Sport Express Russia.
