Bianca Ojukwu who was the wife of the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu has reiterated her support for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Her reiteration is coming days after the son of the Biafra warlord, Chukwuemeka Ojukwu Jr, left the APGA for the All Progressives Congress.
The Punch reports that Bianca expressed joy over the success recorded by APGA at the polling units in her ward, Umudim Central School, in Nnewi North LGA on Saturday, November 18.
She said: “In my area, APGA is winning. I believe we will go on to win the election.”
The breakdown of the result showed that APGA recorded 261 votes, APC 98, and PDP 80.
Meanwhile, there was jubilation among supporters of APGA late Saturday, November 18, as the interim national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ben Obi, lost his ward in the Anambra governorship election.
Daily Sun reports that APGA won in the four polling units of the ward with 193 against the votes of the All Progressives Congress (APC) put at 112 and PDP with 107.
The report said immediately after he cast his vote, Sen Obi, expressed mixed feelings about the incumbency factor taking over even though the PDP had done its best.
