Rev Fr Emmanuel Chibuzo Obimma alias Ebube Muonso has disclosed what he told the candidate of the United Peoples’ Party (UPP) in the just concluded Anambra governorship election, Osita Chidoka.
According to reports, Fr Obimma made his comments in a chat with newsmen in Lagos.
NAIJ.com gathers that Obimma revealed that he warned the aspirant not to contest for the governorship position because he would not win.
The priest further disclosed that he had given the warning because it was not yet Chidoka’s time to lead the state and not because he was uncharismatic or incompetent.
He stated: “Personally, I for one love Osita Chidoka who is an Anglican. I said to him, how I wish he will have the crown, but it is not yet time.
“Many a times, I pray and God will tell me it’s not the way it will go. Many a times, God gave me revelations that are even against my wish.
“It’s something that is divine, irrespective of denomination. Ministers of God are not God; our duty is to carry out the message given to us by God.”
