Aisha Buhari’s office to host FEC meeting today, November 22

- The office of Nigeria's first lady, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, will host the Federal Executive Council (FEC) today, Thursday, November 22

- The meeting is scheduled for 10:00am and everyone involved has been informed

- All other official activities for today would also hold at the Conference Room of Mrs Buhari's office

A report by Daily Trust indicates that the office of Nigeria's first lady, Hajiya Aisha Buhari will host the Federal Executive Council (FEC) today, Thursday, November 22.

According to the report, ministers and other cabinet members had been informed of the development.

Legit.ng gathered that President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to preside over the meeting slated for 11:00am.

Sources quoted in the report said the meeting would hold inside the conference room of Hajiya Buhari's office.

The decision to move to the first lady's office is said to be due to “technical issues” at the council chambers of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, where the cabinet meeting usually holds.

The senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, also confirmed the new development

All other official activities for today would also hold at the conference room of the Hajiya Buhari's office.

Recent media reports had indicated that President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to use his office in the Aso Rock Villa since his return from medical vacation in the UK.

President Buhari left Nigeria for another around of medical care in the United Kingdom on Sunday, May 7, and returned on Saturday, August 19.

According to the reports, the president, however, did not resume at his desk on Monday, August 21, as he instead, commenced official assignments from an auxiliary office attached to his official residence within the villa
