Breaking: Tinubu, Akande reportedly in secret meeting with Fasoranti

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state is reported to be currently holding a closed door meeting with Chief Rueben Fasoranti, the leader of pan-Yoruba socio cultural organisation, Afenifere.

The Sun reports that the meeting is holding at the residence of Fasoranti, in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

Chieftains of Afenifere are said to be in attendance as well as the former governor of Osun state, Chief Adebisi Akande.

Tinubu was said to have arrived Akure by 12pm on Wednesday, November 22.

But as at the time of filing this report, details of the meeting were unknown, though sources said the meeting might be aimed at finding a common course.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will remain in power in 2019 as it would emerge victorious at the forthcoming elections.

The first-class traditional ruler, therefore, urged Nigerians to continue to work towards its success as the ruling party cannot be eased out so soon.

Oba Akiolu further called the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a stubborn man but added that this is for the right reason.
