Police operatives in Oyo state have arrested an Islamic cleric and two others (Names withheld) in possession of two fresh human heads and legs.
Vanguard reports that Abiodun Odude who is the state commissioner of police presented the suspects on Wednesday, November 22.
He said the suspects confessed that they raided a cemetery in Muslim cemetery in Isale General Area, Ogbomoso where they severed the body parts from corpses.
The suspects were arrested following a tip-off from a citizen before the Special Anti-Robbery Squad swooped in on them.
He said: “The three young men informed the police that their unbridled desires to get rich quick prompted them to get the human parts for money ritual purpose.
The Muslim cleric said he had not used human part for ritual before and that this was his first attempt.
He said: “I was told that the preparation of using human parts for ritual is simple and one will become very rich.”
The police commissioner also presented the suspected killer of a member of Oyo State House of Assembly, Gideon Aremu, representing Oorelope Constituency.
He explained that the suspect had been on the police watch list after he fled his country home.
He said: “Nemesis caught up with the suspect when he was arrested in his criminal hideout after sneaking into the state and led another armed robbery gang to snatch a motorcycle from its owner at Egbeda area of the state.

“The suspect and two others operating a motorcycle also robbed two other victims of their valuable property including cash.
“A Bajaj Boxer Motocycle with Reg. No AYJ 038 QM which was snatched at gun point was recovered from the suspects.”
Meanwhile, Ifeanyi Chukwu Maxwell Dike, a 23-year-old 200-level student of the Faculty of Science, University of Port Harcout, Rivers state, was arrested for allegedly killing an eighth-year-old girl named Victory Chikamso.
Dike was arrested with some of his alleged accomplices for the death of little Victory in a case suspected to be ritual murder.
