Maryam Ali, a wife of Senator Ahmadu Ali, a former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Punch reports that Mrs Ali renounced her membership of the PDP and declared her allegiance to the APC at a brief ceremony at the APC National Secretariat, in Abuja, on Thursday, November 23.

According to the wife of PDP former national chairman, her decision to join the APC was borne out of a desire to continue to render service to her people.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that Senator Musiliu Obanikoro said he would be officially defect to the ruling APC from the PDP.
Obanikoro was a former minister of State for Defence during former president Goodluck Jonathan's administration.
He also contested for the Lagos state governorship seat in 2015 but lost the ticket to Jimi Agbaje.
