Lai Mohammed who is the minister of information and culture has said that with the success recorded by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will not return to power.
Vanguard reports that the minister spoke in an interview with newsmen during his two-day visit to Jigawa State to attend the ninth meeting of the National Council on Tourism, Culture and National Orientation in Dutse.
Mohammed predicted that the opposition party was gone for good and would not be returned to power again.
He emphasized that the president has fulfilled some of his promises to Nigerians and delivered the dividends of democracy to them.
He said: “Buhari’s administration has succeeded in ensuring the security of Nigerians’ lives and properties, boosting the economy, enhancing agricultural sector among several issues.”
The minister urged more Nigerians t support the change propagated by the ruling APC.
He also said 200,000 youths have been through the N-Power scheme and that more will also be reached out to.
According to a statement by the Bode George media office, Jonathan was quoted as saying his goal “is how to ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party regains the Presidency in 2019.”
“Whether I like it or not, I must take responsibility for the defeat because I led the party to the election. The only thing that will make me sleep well is to ensure that the PDP comes back to power.”
