APC group backs President Buhari for second term

- The group states that Buhari’s second term in office will consolidate on the achievements made so far in the area of anti-corruption war and stability of the nation’s economy

A socio-political organisation in the south south geo-political zone, the All Progressives Congress Youth Vigilante, has said it will back President Muhammadu Buhari’s second ambition due to the success recorded in the president’s anti-corruption war.

The group in a statement signed by Emmanuel Oronsaye, its director of organisation and strategy, urged loyalists of the national leader of the APC, Senator Bola Tinubu, to give Buhari the necessary support, Vanguard reports.

It maintained that Buhari’s second term in office will consolidate on the achievements made so far in the area of anti-corruption war and stability of the nation’s economy.

Meanwhile, former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has announced his defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This was contained in a statement released on Friday, November 24.

There has been speculation that the former vice president will dump the ruling party for the PDP and he has finally confirmed this via a statement.

Atiku said the promised change of the APC failed to manifest which was why he was returning to the PDP.
