Read her story below:
“I am the first child in my family, I have three other siblings, I just finished my NCE program.
My parents are traders that sell farm products like fruits and vegetables, they buy from farmers who brings the products to the market in large quantity and then resell to retailers and end users.
Me and my siblings have to join my parents in the business because that is where we feed from and what pays all our bill.
I carry these plantains around to sell right from when I was in secondary school. Some of my friends do tell me that I should stop carrying the plantain around that I am a big girl that there are other ways to make money, most times they even make mockery of me,but that can’t stop me from doing what I find joy and peace of mind in doing.
I always tell them that without this plantain I carry around to sell that I wouldn’t have gone to school and I am not ashamed to say I am a plantain seller any day any time.

From this business two of my younger ones are in the university today studying law, I chose to make these sacrifice for them because am their senior, they also did same for me when I was in school. My advice to my fellow young girls out there is that they should stay away from negative friends that always talk about how to get rich quick, let’s do what is right, only time will tell, what you require is patience and be hopeful sooner or later your hard work will pay off.”
