Bayern came into the game with 12 points after winning all of their group stage games except for embarrassing 3-0 defeat away to PSG in September 2017. So one cannot totally rule out the possibilities of revenge on the mind of Bayern.
While Paris Saint-Germain came into the game with 100% percent record having won all five of their Champions League Group B clash.
It was the host that opened the scoring in the 8th minute as Kingsley Coman laid the ball off to Robert Lewandowski, who sloted it into the back of the net from close range, leaving the goalkeeper helpless.
Shortly after the opener, PSG maintain absolute control of the game, controlling of the possession but that did not stop Bayern from doubling their lead in the 37th minute as former Real Madrid attacker, James Rodriguez, breezed past his marker and slings in a cross towards Corentin Tolisso, who evades his marker and plants a fine header into the bottom left corner from close in.
Both team walked into the tunnel at the end of the first 45 with the Bundesliga side the happier of the two sides as they command a 2-0 lead.
The visitor had a roburst start to the second half as Kylian Mbappe found space in the box in the 50th minute and from close range powers an unstoppable header into the bottom left corner after a cheeky lofted pass from Edinson Cavani.
