The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is plotting to disrupt the party's national convention on Saturday, December 9.
The Nation reports that the PDP, while Citing “intelligence report”, claimed there are APC officials in the Buhari's administration planning to sabotage the upcoming convention.
The party called on the president to interfere and stop them.

The PDP's Board of Trustees (BoT) chairman, Walid Jibrin, said the party is looking forward to welcoming the Senate president Bukola Saraki, and former Kano state governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso back to PDP.
Jibrin also said the party is looking forward to welcoming governors who defected in 2014.
Jibrin said: “As the party joyfully welcomes Atiku back to his home, PDP, we are equally waiting to receive more members of the APC, including Sen. Kwankwaso, Senators, Members of the House of Representatives, President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, APC governors who had earlier left PDP, thereafter all of us would unite to take power from APC come 2019."

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, has disclosed his position on the upcoming convention of the PDP and the defection of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to the opposition party.
Babangida made his comments when he was paid a courtesy visit by the Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa; the chairman of the PDP caretaker committee, Ahmed Makarfi; and other top party officials, at his Minna hilltop mansion, on Wednesday, December 6.
