Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday, December 14, presided over the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja.
NAIJ.com gathered that Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state while briefing State House correspondents after the meeting said the withdrawal of $1 billion from the Excess Crude Account to be used in the ongoing fight against Boko Haram insurgents was approved.
In a previous report by NAIJ.com, Osinbajo, met with some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors behind closed doors on Wednesday, December 13.
The Punch reports that the meeting was held in the evening at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Details of the discussion of the meeting has not yet been revealed.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, December 13, Osinbajo presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting, held at the Council Chamber, State House, Abuja.
Osinbajo represented President Muhammadu Buhari who is presently in Paris for the One Planet Summit taking place in France.
