Some suspected gunmen have reportedly killed Yakubu Mama an official of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) for exposing criminals in Keffi-Karu-Abuja axis to security operatives.
Daily Trust reports that the Nasarawa state chairman of MACBAN Muhammed Hussaini said suspects stormed the deceased’s residence on Tuesday, December 12.

Hussaini said the late Mama had been giving information that had helped in tracking down high profile criminals, armed robbery syndicates, and cattle rustlers to security operatives in Keffi, Karu and Abuja.
He added that the deceased had also contributed useful information that had averted clashes between farmers and herders in Keffi and Karu LGAs.
The state police public relations officer Idrisu Kennedy, however, said he had not been briefed on the incident by the DPO handling the area.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday, December 11, commenced a series of national consultations with all relevant groups designed to find a lasting solution to the farmers-herders conflict in parts of the country.
