On Tuesday, December 12, 2017 the world’s favorite gin, Gordon’s Moringa Citrus Gin, joined the Olu of Warri as he celebrated his 2nd year coronation anniversary in Ode Itsekiri. The month-long celebrations began late November with the Awerewere ceremony to commemorate the sustained period of peace the Itsekiri people have enjoyed under His Majesty Ogiame Ikenwoli 1, Olu of Warri.
With celebration rites including the Okunkpipa ceremony where tribute was paid to the goddess of the river, the Omologbara Cultural Society put on a colourful dance display on the streets of Ode Itsekiri. The celebrations continue to bring fantastic moments of laughter to the Itsekiri people and Gordon’s Moringa Citrus Gin was truly present to encourage indigenes to enjoy every moment.

Gordon's Moringa Citrus Gin was present to add colour and flavour to the event cementing its place in tradition as the drink for all traditional rites. There were loads of giveaways as a few of the locals went home with Gordon’s branded freebies. The world’s favorite Gin lives in those places where people take a step out of everyday life and appreciate the little moments of pleasure and there could be no better time and place than the Olu of Warri’s coronation anniversary.
